Masters of Business Administration
Masters of Business Administration or Master of Business Administration is a post graduate degree which was initially introduced in the United States in the late 19th century and is available throughout the world. While the basic syllabus is common everywhere, each country has its own style and method of imparting knowledge to its students. Only those who have completed graduation in various disciplines can register for this course.
A scientific approach is believed to be a success formula for any activity and business administration is no exception. A degree in Master's of Business Administration does precisely that.
The main subjects covered are: accounting, marketing, human resources and operations management with options pertaining to a particular interest that the student may have. Each industry has its own methodology and it is imperative therefore that there is an element of specialization too.
In order to maintain consistency accreditation bodies do exist for these programs that ratify every syllabus that gets designed no matter how recognized an institution or college might be. These external bodies help both the students and employers with assessment.
Some countries specially the developed do not recognize courses undertaken by students in the underdeveloped countries and they are made to appear for exams in certain areas before their degree is accepted for any prospective employment. It also becomes a prestige issue for students to go abroad to acquire an International Master of Business Administration degree.
Also rather than spending time back home and once again appear for exams in certain subjects as per the requirement of the employers a student prefers sometimes to take up the course in the country of his/her interest. Most of the time a degree obtained locally is not considered for employment if one wishes to take up employment abroad.
The good news is that the international Master of Business Administration program is available online. There is a procedure for registration that one needs to follow, typically requiring specific documents or forms.
